She Likes It Dark, as Dark as the Sun
Yes, I AM quite aware that makes no sense, unless you fast forward time by a few billion years.
I am Harle, your local bug lady. I am in my PhD program in entomology, and I am researching odor receptors in tephritid fruit flies. It takes a special kind of person to want to spend the rest of their working life with bugs. Special. Very special. I own the safety helmet to prove it.
I am a young woman, full of life, and grasping to squeeze every last drop out of it that I can. I love being alive, even on the days that I hate being alive! :P Life is an adventure; write it. (And do not forget to make fun of yourself a bit in the process.)
As a devourer of books (they taste so good), I am noted for two things as far as literary world is concerned: 1) Difficulties in moving to a new apartment due to the weight of all my books in the boxes. 2) A good vocabulary and a relatively strong grasp of the intricacies of the English language (though my autocorrect likes to try to prove otherwise at times).
I have been RPing since about age 14 or 15, and I would certainly like to think I have dramatically improved since that point to what would be considered literate to advanced literate (depending on the genre, scene, and RP partner). However, as long as you can get your ideas across without enough typos and spelling mistakes to make me have to use a codex to interpret it, we are pretty good. I care more about the ideas and creativity than the grammar and spelling, within limits.
Since I am a biology major, my non-human characters tend to be based on what could be biologically feasible. I like scientific logic, alright? That does not mean I cannot stretch my imagination, as long as something is not so bizarre that it could just never happen in the physical laws of the RP universe our characters are in.
I am a real human (surprise, surprise)! That means that sometimes I decide to take a break from roleplaying, and you will not get a reply for a couple of days. Oops, damn that silly humanity! Usually I am quick to respond, however.
我會說一點兒中文。我喜歡中國筆友可是不會在中文RP。(≧∇≦)
