I ask that you please do not steal my ideas. I worked hard on them. If you like them enough to want to use them, please just drop me an email so we can work on them together. :)
I tend to make plots based on a particular character or characters (as I am addicted to character creation). However, that does not mean I do not want input from you! If I wanted it to all be about my character, I would just write a story, not RP. I would love if you could add to the plot, come up with amazing characters, etc.
* Note: These are snippets of plots that will work for a starting idea for a long-term RP in which we add more conflicts and such once the first arc is completed. Basically, I want your input! Let's work together to make some awesomeness!
** If I have a preference for which role/gender, it will be directly below the plot description or will include specific characters. If it is not listed, I do not care which role/gender I play. I'm usually open for changing character genders to fit MxM and FxF, or any gender (I play non-binary genders, too).

A Criminal Mind
He was a billionaire, able to buy or do pretty much anything he wanted. Women flocked to him, and he had no problem with encouraging them. Even so, his life lacked meaning: something was missing. His whole life, he has been shown deference, awe, and even worship. His childhood had been the dream of any child, save for the fact that his family was far from fully functional. Then he met her, or at least he met her alter ego. She was a thief, and so far the police had been unable to capture her. When she steals something from him, though, he's determined to uncover her true identity. What he doesn't realize is that in doing so, his life will change forever.
This is a super hero type RP. She needs a source of funding for her crime-fighting and uses thievery against the rich to save lives. He needs meaning to his life, and she can provide it. She needs a backer, and he can provide one. Will his conscious eventually get the better of him? Will she trust him with her true identity or leave him in the dark? Might he decide to work with her? ** Genders can be changed for slash. My preferred role is the thief.
Aether's Restoration
The Undergreen--the fae universe--was once a vibrant and lively place, with its own natural laws and forces. Thousands of years ago, in the middle of the human Bronze Age, the fae had fought over territory in such vicious wars that the combined power fractured the very framework of the universe. Fae fled their home world, tumbling through the tears in the universe and into the realm of humans. The tears would later be known as gates, which the fae eventually used to return to the Undergreen once they had deemed it safe enough to venture back. The move back had been somewhat forced by the advent of the Iron Age, when humans discovered that iron was inherently at odds with a fae's core aether (the vital, magical life force of all fae). As many of the fae (especially the fae who would later form the UnSeelie Court) had looked upon humans as lesser beings and treated them poorly, humans had taken a dim view upon them. Iron changed the course of history, and fae were forced to either return to the Undergreen or adapt and go into hiding among humans. Those who chose to stay developed a special magic, known as a glamour, which allowed them to take on the guise of a human, so long as the mortal viewing them had not already seen them without the glamour. Fae could see through each other's glamour, but in an interesting happenstance, any being originally born of the human race could not: vampires, werewolves, witches, and the like.
Those who returned to the Undergreen found a world quite unlike the one they had left. Nothing had survived the Cataclysm, as it became known. Only life which had made it through the tears survived, and raw, dangerous magics remained in place of what was once a stable world. Only the most powerful, the Lords and Ladies, could tame the wild aether (the magical energy of their universe) by siphoning it through their own core aether. Magic took on new rules, time was altered so that it ran at different rates in different parts of the universe, and the Lords and Ladies spun fantastical realms out of the energy. Each realm took over a year to even make habitable, and then only with considerable effort by the realm's creator. Many more years and much more investment of power were required to develop a thriving realm suitable for a kingdom of fae, and as such, it was easier to steal the work already done by another Lord or Lady and link it to one's own realm rather than to continue to expand outward. The fae seemed not to have learned from their mistakes, and power struggles continued to ensue. This kept tensions high, especially among the ruling elite. Lords and Ladies rarely trusted one another and often only came together to procreate; a task which had become rather difficult since the Cataclysm. Ironically, the more powerful the fae, the more difficult it was for them to reproduce, especially with another powerful fae. As such, children were treated with reverence, so much so that most fae would rather kill themselves than to harm any child, even the human children which the UnSeelie so hated. Their own children were fiercely guarded, lest anyone turn them against the parent raising them or bring harm to them in any way.
Wyen was born among the UnSeelie, the fae Court who hated humans with a passion. Considered 'dark' and 'evil' by the Seelie Court, many UnSeelie live up to the stereotype. While both Courts are run by the most powerful of fae, known as Lords and Ladies, UnSeelie take it to an extreme. Callous and cruel, those with the power make the rules. Those without power are peasants at best and often are nothing but fodder for power struggles between the ruling elite. Wyen was born with power to spare, and her father is clearly proud of his offspring. Proud and possessive, so much so that he drove off her mother shortly after she was born. Though power fills her, however, she has shown signs of being rather unlike her UnSeelie progenitors, instead having a soft and caring side to her, despite her utter fear of humans and all born of the human race (a fear instilled in her by her father). As a young Lady of considerable power, she is especially prone to the damaging effects of iron, so the fear is hardly unwarranted. Kept under near constant supervision her entire life, Wyen has been unable to develop much of an understanding of the world beyond her father's realm. She has been obedient to a fault, until she developed a one-way crush on Lord Kyden.
Kyden was also born among the UnSeelie to a particularly cruel father who had fallen in love with a succubus hybrid. Mostly fae, he has plenty of power to be considered a young Lord in his own right. Haughty and egotistical, Kyden sees himself above most others. His family has been friends--insomuch as two great fae families can be--since the two were children, but he had little interest in the relatively shy Wyen, preferring the company of women with more fire and passion. Even so, he is known to play with any who cross his path unless they have something which particularly catches his interest. He is capable of affection and even love, if he could only find someone to right the chaotic path he is careening down. Like his ancestors, he hates humans, as well as Seelie fae.
Though the two would likely eventually go their own ways, fate would have it otherwise. The Undergreen needs them, and Wyen's magic, combined with Kyden's ancestry, are the key to restoring their world. They cannot do it alone, however, as each is only a part of the whole, and there are forces who would stop at nothing to prevent the restoration of the Undergreen. (This is where your characters would come in; one to pair with Wyen and one with Kyden. Wyen needs someone who can bring her out of her shell; preferably someone kind but bold. Kyden needs someone who can knock him on his ass, so to speak, or some plot device which can. He needs to be taught a lesson or five. We can discuss what kind of character or situation this would be. Ideally your characters would be at least fairly powerful in their own right. I'd love if Wyen was paired with a non-fae of some sort. Kyden ideally would be paired with either a non-fae or a Seelie fae to turn him around eventually, or at least to keep him from getting worse.)
An Agent of Change
Derived of energy, spontaneously given sentience, it was a one-in-a-million chance. That low probability defined the being he would eventually become, a spirit of change. Baerna is not really sure exactly what he is, as he does not remember anything past a certain point, before he achieved full sentience, but he knows that he is powerful, and he knows he can find the slightest probability that something will happen and tip the fates toward it. While change is often good, it is rarely welcomed, and sometimes it has terrible consequences. What chaos might his meddling cause?
For this, there are multiple characters types which could work, depending on which direction we want to go. There could be someone impervious to his power, someone who is unwittingly cleaning up his messes until they find the source, etc. I am very open to discussion on this idea. Any pairing is fine.
Basilisk's Gaze
A young man and woman are engaged to be married when an evil sorcerer curses them with a spell that makes it so anyone whose eyes they look into will be turned to stone and killed, with no chance of recovery. One of the pair is turned to stone, leaving the other grief-stricken and desperate to find a way to cure the curse. They travel far and wide, but it is hard to communicate when you cannot look anyone in the eye. No one will trust you. Finally they meets up with the other character, who is willing to believe the story and help out. As things progress, though, grief is slowly replaced by budding love. How can the pair manage to stay together when they cannot even look at one another?
Beauty, the Beast
Lovely young woman (or other gender) by day, ravaging werewolf by night, Beauty does not know that the Beast she thinks has locked her in the castle is actually herself. The real prince(ss), having been bitten by her the first night she arrived at the castle is the mysterious 'Beast' that she sees haunting the castle. Putting two and two together to make seven, she decides that the beast causing all the problems (and the shredded upholstery) must be the prince and seeks for a way to kill him. The prince, meanwhile, is struggling to control his own werewolf curse. When the villagers start a wolf hunt, will both characters get caught in the maelstrom?
** Genders can be changed for slash.
By The Pale Moon's Light
Misty is cursed, or so it seems, with unusual looks. Partial albinism has left her with the odd combination of black hair, white skin, and red eyes, leaving her the victim of constant torment from the other villagers. Unable to go out in the sun without wearing a hood to protect her sensitive skin and eyes, she is labeled as a demon and a witch. Finally, Misty has enough and snaps. Deciding that if she is going to be called a witch, she might as well be one, she steals some magical tomes that are kept at the priest's for protection. While she has some natural talent for witchcraft, she doesn't know the depths she is diving to nor the price that magic will take. Many of the spells backfire in some way she could not predict, including a summoning which will bring about a creature from the very depths of hell.
* I play Misty. You play the creature (werewolf or demon?), a hunter meant to stop Misty and the creature, or whatever else we can fit into the setting.
Doctor Alice in Wonderland
Wonderland is beset by a plague that is causing rampant madness. No one seems to be immune to the disease, though it affects some more than others. Tho, a shapechanging white rabbit, left Wonderland in order to find someone who could save them all. He was the only one with the ability to cross through the boundaries between the worlds. Little does he know, however, that he is already infected. His particular form of madness is that he becomes Hare, a lanky fellow with a complete lack of any sense. Alice is a young doctor, fresh out of medical school. When a strange illness starts popping up in her city, only affecting certain people (those with the greatest imaginations), she embarks on a quest for a cure. When she learns out that the disease did not originate on earth, she finds herself in a world that she could have never believed existed.
** I play Tho/Hare. You play Alice (feel free to rename), and we can double with other characters or just have them as sides. It is up to you whether or not Alice gets infected, but if she does not, she would be a pragmatic character without much imagination (or we find another reason she is immune).
Don't Call Me 'Cute'!
She's feisty, independent, strong, and a vampire. The problem is that before she was turned into a vampire, she was born as a shapeshifter. Worse yet, she was a chinchilla shapeshifter! Worse still, she is adorable in her vampire form, too! Vampires are supposed to be sexy and deadly, not cute and cuddly! This has left her with a big chip on her shoulder, and she is quick to take it out on anyone she can. When the war between the halfbreeds and the pure vampires begins, she quickly joins the side of the pure vampires, intent on proving that she is every bit as strong and worthwhile as the vampires turned from regular humans. So when she meets a halfbreed, the sparks immediately fly. However, her own side turns on her because they do not believe she is a proper vampire, and she is forced to work with the halfbreed. Will anyone ever accept her as she is, and most importantly, will they stop calling her 'cute'?
* I play the shapeshifter vampire. You play the halfbreed.
Dream A Little Dream
She has the most amazing dreams each night. Entire worlds spill out in in her mind as she sleeps, with fantastical creatures, glorious stories, and wondrous endings. He is also a dreamer, and he dreams of earth and the world she lives in. He finds it fascinatingly different from his own world. However, they soon finds out that the more they dream, the less real they become in their own real, and the more real they become in the dream world. Somewhere in the middle, they find each other. The only way to stop themselves from disappearing from their own world entirely is to work together, perhaps to solidify themselves in both worlds.
* Genders can be changed. I can play either role.
Don't Worry, We'll Be Watching
Based on the song of the same title by Gotye. A polytheistic cult has taken over the world, becoming the predominant religion. Anyone who does not believe in the new religion is persecuted, all in the name of 'love'. People are forced to attend ceremonies and festivals dedicated to the many gods of the cult. Two people are trying to find any way to escape the madness, thinking the cult is full of lies.
This can go one of two ways. Either they can find that the 'gods' the cult worships are really some terrible beings (demons, vampires, whatever), or we can go the route of them trying to just escape a cult that really is fake.
From Within The Shadows
Elves are beautiful, poised, masters of their natural magics, and above all else, arrogant. When an elf is born to a normal family yet lacks every normality found in their society, she becomes the society's pariah. Born with the wrong magic, a magic the elves have never before seen, Tsura curses her existence. After finally having enough, she leaves everything she has known and tries to fit in among humans. Elves, having secluded themselves, are far behind on modern society, and it shows. Tsura sticks out like a sore thumb, and only her unusual magic keeps her from getting into too many scrapes she can't get out of. A shadowy magic, her assumed curse, allows her to disappear and reappear through the shadows. What she does not realise, is that her magic comes from another universe, and each time she uses it, the already weakened barrier between the universes grows that much thinner. When strange, shadowy creatures, monstrous in their appearance, start seeking her out, drawn to her magic, she does not know what to do. When she finds out the strange universe is in trouble, and that only an outside source might have the capability of saving it, now that nearly all who had much power have been killed off to prevent their interference, she is reluctant to fill the role they try to put on her.
Enter your character. My idea is that you could play either a person from the other universe or someone from modern society (human or otherwise). I would definitely like your character to be very actively involved in helping solve the problems, one way or another. Ideally they would be able to handle a character with low self-esteem. Any gender character you want to drop in would be fine.
It's A-maze-ing
It's Halloween, and what could be more fun than getting together with a/some friend(s) to go to the corn maze? However, as the group tries to find their way out of the maze, something goes wrong. It is taking far longer than it should to find the way out, and each turn you take seems to look less and less like a corn maze. Turns out that as the midnight hour approached, your group fell into a spell set centuries ago. You are now in a magical labyrinth set in another time and place. Strange creatures lurk among the sculpted foliage, paths open up into giant forests with seemingly no escape, and danger hides around every corner. Can you get out? Will the latent abilities that were triggered by your crossing over the boundaries between your world and this be able to be developed in time to save you?
Kingdoms in Chaos
A long time ago, a good and gracious emperor had the most prosperous of empires in the land. Wealth begat a flourish of arts, learning, and magic. Of course, such a goldmine is a prime target for every other kingdom and empire as far as the map could hold. The emperor knew he had to protect his empire, so he turned to the help of mages. Together, the group of hired mages set about to create magical creatures that were as intelligent as humans and could form mental bonds with riders or companions.
After years of labor, beset with problems from the word 'go', the first of the magical creatures was created. With nothing to go off of, the mages looked to the lore of the land. By magically modifying a small, gliding lizard into a giant, flying beast: the dragon. These giant creatures were the heavy offense. Capable of extended flight and breathing fire, they were a formidable force. They were generally bonded to archers and battlemages who could augment the dragons' firepower with their own arsenal of projectiles. Having been created first, the dragons were notoriously vain creatures.
The second creature was a winged wolf which became known as the Holras. While they could be ridden, riders generally found themselves being bludgeoned senseless by the wings, which were set on the forequarters. For this reason, they were generally only ridden on the ground. Held aloft more by magic than by mechanics, the wolves can be easily detected by mage sight. Highly intelligent, the Holras were famed for their ability to out think their opponents. When paired with an intelligent rider, the team was capable of coming up with on-the-spot battle tactics which allowed them to augment any type of unit.
It took two years before they could begin on the next creature, which was to be the heavy cavalry. One of the mages who had been recruited from a foreign land knew of a creature that appeared to be a walking pinecone. He had praised the animal's defensive capabilities, and that had set the mages to thinking about how to modify it to be a usable creature. Thus the Junti had been born. It resembled nothing so much as a giant, rounded rat with scales from nose to tail. The scales were infused with steel and magic to make them impenetrable to even the sharpest of weapons. Huge, steel claws on the front feet were effective weapons, used to cut through the enemy lines. When not being ridden, the Junti could even curl up into a ball, protecting its soft underbelly. The riders, usually lancers or axemen, rode on a specially-designed seat that kept them strapped to the rounded Junti. The inherit risk of this, of course, was that if an enemy did get past the considerable defenses of the pair, the rider could not make a quick escape.
The fourth creature, the Elin, was designed off of the noble horse. Designed to be light and swift, the standard equine body was modified to be thinner and more agile while retaining the strength to carry a lightly armoured rider. Scythe-like horns protruded from either side of the creature's forehead, allowing it to toss its head and cut a path through an enemy line. It's skull and breastbone was infused with steel similar to that of the Junti's scales, giving it a built-in helmet to take the blows of anyone who tried to stop its advance. Already sharp hooves were given a steel edge, as well, so that the Elin could strike behind it. Elin were generally paired with swordsmen, bowmen, or spearmen, and they were the light cavalry. Meant for skirmishing, raiding, and reconnaissance, the Elin are the least sturdy of all five creatures.
Last came the gryphons. By combining various feline species with an equal variety of bird species, the mages created a beast capable of aereal hit and runs. While the dragons were designed for brute force, the gryphons were the light cavalry of the air. They were generally paired with scouts.
With the main archetypes completed, the mages turned toward new experimental prototypes. The Harkamp was created. Made from a native species, this birdlike creature had teeth and powerful legs could handle the deserts and marshlands far better than could the Elin. Lore has it that other beasts, in various stages of development, were also created.
However, soon calamity would fall. The kindly emperor fell ill and died. The empire was divided among his five heirs, and each kingdom became responsible for the production of a single type of bonded pair. Like their father, they were good rulers, but the same could not be said of their descendants. The kingdoms fell into chaos, warring with each other for supremacy. Most of the creatures, which were designed to be both good as well as intelligent, became disgusted at the lot of people and took off. Most escaped into the wilderness, though some of the experimental species found refuge with clans and tribes outside of the kingdom. The only ones that remained were those who were already bonded to a rider. As soon as their rider died, if they were not already dead, they also took off. However, some of the dragons, having been the first to be created, tried to hold out a little longer. This would be a bad choice on their part, for the kingdom's mages managed to remove most of the intelligence from their offspring, while keeping their other abilities. Since only one kingdom retained its magical mounts, it became a very large thorn in the sides of the other kingdoms, who were now reduced to standard warfare. Their problems soon spread outside of the kingdoms, with some of the rulers targeting outside countries and tribes to continue financing their war. What will become of the kingdoms? Can peace ever be restored? Will the clans and tribes survive the slaughter?
There are several different plotlines this could follow. We could come in at the beginning of when the creatures start coming back, singling out people who are worthy of bonding with them to start an uprising. We could have characters from different kingdoms, one from the kingdoms and one from a tribe/clan, two from tribes/clans, etc.
The only tribes/clans I have elaborated are the Okatept Nomads. Please see Nari's profile for this history.
Jack and the Hamadryad's Stalk
We all know how Jack and the Beanstalk ends, right? But what if we didn't? What if the seed he was given was the offspring of a hamadryad, and as he was about to cut down the beanstalk, she emerges to beg him not to. Hamadryads are traditionally associated with trees, and if their trees are cut down, they will die. Of course, that will lead to the inevitable problem of the giant being able to climb down to cause problems, so the pair is going to have to figure out how to deal with Mr. Fe Fi Fo Fum, himself.
Just Couldn't Let It Go, Could You?
She's a girl with a problem. She is a thief who is literally compelled to steal anything and everything that is shiny, regardless of its value (or lack thereof). He's a dragon with a problem. He is literally compelled to hoard shiny treasures. When the dragon in human form finds his newly acquired shiny bauble being plucked out of his very hands, he goes on a mission to get it back. After taking back what is rightfully his stolen--er, creatively attained--goods, he comes back to find his entire lair has been cleaned out while he was gone! Damn that woman!
** Genders can be swapped (or slash). I prefer playing the dragon in most RPs, but in this case I would prefer to play the thief, if you would be so kind. :3
Outted
Humans were once so much more aware of the supernatural world, but as technology and science gained ground, the knowledge was all but lost. Yet all of the things we have relegated to mere myth still exist: vampires, demons, sorcerers, fae, dragons, and everything else we like to think fits only in the realm of fairy tales. The secret has been gladly kept by those who know that humans are more numerous, but someone has let the truth slip. Now humans are aware of the reality of what they thought was nothing more than imagination. In a panic, an uprising has occurred against the supernatural races, who have long fought with one another. Can characters of different races learn to get along in order to save themselves, or will their differences spell the destruction of everything they hold dear.
** I'm particularly fond of human magic-users, shapeshifters, demons, and fae for my character. Feel free to be whatever you like, from asura to vampire to werewolf to wendigo.
Maiden Kidnaps Dragon
So we know that dragons always kidnap maidens, and knights come charging in to become dragon snacks--I mean, to save her. Same ol' boring story every single time a dragon comes into town. You would think people would start locking up maidens! What if the dragon was the one to be kidnapped? The maiden (a talented young mage) has decided she is tired of waiting around for her knight in shining armour so takes things into her own hands. She goes out looking for a dragon to kidnap her, but the dragon is quite stubborn about not letting her in. ("MY shiny treasures! You can't have them! Go away!"). Determined, she traps the dragon in his own lair using her magic and sets herself up as the 'victim' so that she can be rescued by the handsome knight. Or so she thinks that is what she wants to happen until she realizes the dragon can shapeshift into an equally handsome young man. Who will she choose? Will the dragon be killed? Will the knights believe the dragon just wants her to leave him alone?
** I can play either role, though it would be fun to play the git of a woman with gall enough (and brains too little) to cause her to capture a dragon. Genders can be swapped/changed.
Man in Wolf's Clothing
A werewolf is trying his best to fight the urges. He has been keeping himself locked up and far from civilization every full moon. All of his plans come to a screeching halt, however, when bodies are found the next full moon. They are clearly torn by fangs, and the citizens cry wolf! The werewolf was sure he had himself safely locked away, so what could be happening? He would have been able to smell another werewolf in the area. As it turns out, a druid/sorcerer/whatever has been shifting into wolf worm and killing people during the full moon, trying to pin it on the werewolf for reasons of her own. What is her reasoning, and how can he stop her?
** I can play either role, and genders can be changed. Slash is fine.
My Evil Twin
In a quiet kingdom, twins used to be a rarity. Once in a while, they would be born, or more rarely a pair of twins would travel through. Suddenly, people start seeing themselves walking around. Worse, they apparently seem to be going to other towns and committing atrocious crimes. They have no recollection of doing this. Since the crimes are often committed in areas too far to travel in the span of a day, it is impossible they could have even done them. Eventually, it is discovered that the sightings are the result of an evil doppleganger (or multiple dopplegangers). A pair (or small group) sets out to put an end to this, but what if one of the people in the party is actually the doppleganger?
Never Meant To Be
A water elemental meets a fire elemental. At first the two are simply friends, but as they start to fall in love, they realize it is probably an impossible dream. Neither can touch the other, for the water will evaporate and the fire will be extinguished. How can the two possibly ever find true happiness when they were never meant to be?
Pangu's Humanity
Based off of the Chinese creation myth, Pangu's attempt to become a human to collect his reward of King Gao Xin's daughter as his bride is thwarted when the king opens the golden bell on the sixth day rather than the seventh. Rather than becoming a man as he was supposed to, he became a cursed being. For 23 days of the month, he is a dog. For 6 days of the month, he is partially human (more so with each passing day). During these six days, his humanity wars with his canine side, causing him to be a ferocious and uncontrollable creature. Only one day a month is he fully human. Horrified at the monster he had created, the king banishes Pangu. Who can remove this curse? Who could ever love such a creature? Will Pangu be alone forever?
** I will play either role.
Possessed and Pissed Off!
Yes, this starts out with one of those annoyingly tragic backstories, but I swear it really is important to the plot. :P
A little girl's village is killed by marauding bandits. She only survived due to the fact that she had been sent to bed without dinner due to misbehaving. Ever a little rebel, she had sneaked into a basket holding grain to peer through the weave and watch what was going on with the rest of the family. Once that tragedy had struck, she probably should have died due to having no one to care for her, but she caught the eye of a demi-goddess of death and retribution. Guiding the girl to the nearest city with help of her raven avatars, she waited for the right moment to strike. Unfortunately, it came sooner than the goddess had anticipated. (She is only a DEMI-goddess, after all!). A little girl alone in a bustling city is a prime target for any manner of crime, and sure enough, she was spotted. In another near death situation, the girl desperately begged for someone, anyone to help her. That someone was the goddess, who basically took possession of her with the idea that the little girl would grow up to be her pawn.
Carefully training the girl from her backseat position, the girl grew up as a scrappy, jaded thief. However, the goddess was not done with her. Once the girl had the proper basic physical and mental aptitude, the goddess tried a full take over. It was supposed to go smoothly, with the girl accepting the 'helpful' presence that had been in the back of her mind for so many years with no struggle. The girl was having none of this, though. Never one to do what she was told, she fought back. While she did not exactly win, neither did the goddess. An unstable truce was set up with the girl still basically in control of her body. However, the struggle had tainted her already warped mind even more. She was supposed to have become an unstoppable killing machine to be used for retribution against the evil of the world. The taint was there, and there was no going back, but she was going to do things HER way. After all, she had not known some jerk of a wanna be deity was going to take over her body! Of course, that does not sit well with the demi-goddess, so she regularly tries to take over again, leaving the girl frozen in place while she deals with the internal struggle. Hello, major weakness!
At this point, the story could take any number of directions.
- 1. She is destined to eventually be an assassin, but the story could be picked up while she is still a thief. This would work well in an assassin x target plot where the assassin gives her the idea to finally take that leap. She could also be the assassin if the story is picked up a bit later, and someone else could be the target.
- 2. Someone could play the part of the demi-goddess herself as the two struggle for supremacy. This would have to be a F// plot, of course.
- 3. The demi-goddess has a sort of yang to her yin. It is a 'sister' demi-goddess of life and rebirth. Like the goddess of death and retribution, she requires a price of her followers in exchange for power, but it is not their life. They might be blind, etc. Her followers are, predictably, much less violent and nasty than the girl. Someone could play the role of one of her followers in trying to unite the two 'sisters' or bringing the girl to the 'side of good' (though she is not technically evil, since she will not harm anyone who is truly innocent).
- 4. Someone could play a priest or priestess of the demi-goddess of death and retribution whose goal is to get the girl to fully give in to the goddess.
- 5. It could go the route of a "witch hunter" sort of story, where someone is trying to kill her.
- 6. Or...bring your idea to me!
Quest
A king is tired of the rumours of a monstrous beast laying waste to his country. He offers a reward to anyone who can bring him the head of the creature. Two brave adventures decide to take on the challenge, but only one can possibly win the reward. They start off in competition, but as things start to get messy, will they learn to work together to save their lives?
Sleepwalking Beauty
Beauty has everything going for her (or him). She is beautiful, kind, well-liked, and oops, narcoleptic. When she accidentally sleepwalks all the way to a new village, she awakes to the shock of her life. Where is she, and who are all these people who are staring at her? Why are they holding pitchforks and torches? Hey, now, what a minute, I'm not a witch!
** You could take on any part you like: The prince who is trying to find the magical cure for her 'curse' (despite the fact that it is not a curse, so there is no cure), an angry villager, Beauty, whatever.
Social Stigma
Born with the cursed mark, a boy (or girl) is shunned among his own tribesmen (village, whatever setting). Legend has it that a person born with this cursed mark will kill anyone who gets too close. Even his parents barely do more than provide him with food and shelter, trying to avoid the fate they will have if they grow too attached. When an outsider comes into the tribe, she is warned off of him, but she finds the notion silly. She attempts to make friends with the now young man, only to find out there is a reason for this social stigma. Could the cursed mark truly foretell her death as she grows closer and closer to the young man, or is it something less sinister?
** I will either play the part of the one with the curse mark (male or female) or play the outsider (female only).
Snow White the Demoness
Sotha is a demoness of relatively little talent and far too much time in her immortal life. She long since grew bored with living forever, so she often goes into the mortal world to stir up trouble. Her two strongest skills are her ability to dopplegang (take on the appearance of other people) and her--well, we will call it 'charm'.
In the Snow White plot, she finds poor Snow White already killed by the huntsman and decides to take her place. The prince (or princess?) finds the feisty demoness playing the part of the innocent young maiden. Being the noble fellow (or gal) that s/he is, attempts to save her from the wicked queen. However, Sotha is more concerned about trying to get into a position of power through the prince(ss) so she can continue her game of stir the pot and watch what happens. The wicked witch could either know what she is or not. The other character could be the prince, a demon hunter sent by the queen to kill her, or whatever you like (so long as it fits in).
Following her trouble-making trend, the Demoness of Troy and Marc Antony and the Demoness plot has her locking away the real Helen/Cleopatra and playing their parts in order to stir up a war. She does so love a good war.
** I play Sotha, you play whomever else you like (male or female).
The Bogeyman
Disfigured and grotesque, he was the thing that parents used to scare their children into behaving. So long had he lived this miserable existence, driven by his fate to steal children out of their beds and drag them into the bowels of hell. One night, one child. That was his punishment for a crime committed so long ago he could not even remember it. When he targets one child, however, her older sister defies all tradition and hits him over the head with an iron skillet. She should not even be able to see him, let alone hurt him! Only small children could see him! Who is this mysterious young woman, how can she see him, and could she be the key to lifting his curse?
** I play the bogeyman, and her method for driving him off could be different than hitting him on the head with an iron skillet. :P I'm up for changing the gender of the other character.
The Firebird and Princess Vasilisa
This is more of an idea rather than a plot. I would like to explore a relationship between the royal huntsman and the princess or the firebird (which would be a shapeshifter). I would like for him to still take both to the king as requested, only to find that on the way to delivering them, he had fallen for one of them and now must get her back. Genders can be switched any which way we like.
The Golden Goosegirl/boy/person
One of the servants (who had been gold until s/he was turned back) of King Midas leaves his kingdom after the good king passed away. She seeks employment as a goosegirl (or whatever occupation we want, really) in another kingdom, but she soon discovers that Midas' touch still lingers. Worse, when Dionysus had changed her back, there seemed to be an extra element added to the disaster. Her hair started to grow in as gold. No, not blonde hair; literal hair made of gold. Heavy and uncomfortable, she tries to get it cut off, but anyone who touches it becomes obsessed with her and begins following her around for no reason that she can see. Can anyone save her from her hair (not to mention the incredibly annoying train of obsessed stalkers following her everywhere she goes!)?
We can follow the traditional route and have this humourous scene cause a prince(ess) who cannot laugh to finally laugh, or we can turn it into a more epic quest of sorts to find a way to cure the curse. Oooor...one character can be one of the people caught by the spell and trailing after her.
** I can play either role, either gender in this one. If you want to be a princess, I can make the servant be a gooseboy.
The Nightingale
The Emperor/Prince/whomever has noticed the most amazing of voices floating through the night air. Desperate to find the owner of the beautiful voice, he begins to search far and wide for her. Convinced that such a beautiful voice must belong to a woman of equal beauty, he passes right over the true owner: a very plain looking little garden servant. Eventually he finds her and is shocked that she is the possessor of the most beautiful voice in all the known lands. He wants very much for her to be his, but he cannot see himself with such a plain-looking woman.
From here we can take the sort of traditional route where he gets someone to create a 'mechanical nightingale' (homunculus, in this case) with the same voice as the servant only to find that it is not as good as the real thing, or we can explore the relationship between him and the homunculus.
** I am willing to play any role in this one, and the genders can be switched.
Too Fantastical For Me
She is a biochemist with a promising career, despite an accident taking her leg. Kembang has no time for fantastical fancies or wanderings of the mind. Prudent and practical, she would likely not believe in the supernatural if it literally bit her. So when it does (literally or figuratively), she is rather skeptical. Convinced there is some logical explanation, she dives into her investigation, only to find herself in a world beyond her comprehension. How can a human, trained in logic and critical thinking, cope with a hidden world which has existed under her nose the entire time?
I'd like you to play a supernatural (or alien?) race. It's entirely up to you what type, and the direction the plot goes will likely be dictated by that choice.
Vampire's Curse
Vampirism is supposed to only affect normal humans who are bitten, drained, and made to drink the blood of their sire. Somehow, the curse has started to spread to other species, enabling a variety to be turned to vampires. Fae, werewolves, magic users, and more are succumbing to the curse, sometimes with disastrous results. The mixes of curses and magics of the various species, combined with the vampire's curse has been causing any number of strange mutants and abilities to arise, and not all of them are positive changes. When the traits of one race do not line up well with the vampire's curse, the unfortunate soul can suffer endless torment. The lucky few survive, and a few even have gained new benefits, though always with a cost.
When Waters Run Dry
Pollution and global warming have been running rampant for decades, and it's too late to stop the destruction caused by humans. Many species have become endangered, but few one even know about the plight of the water elementals. Mermaids, kelpies, sirens, and more suffer every bit as much from the destruction of their homes as do the fish. When one finally comes forward to tell a human, she can't possibly foresee the cascade of events that would unfold.
** Genders can be swapped.
